<p>Truth #2 &#8211; The internet will continue to increase in usage by people who are age 50 and older.  In an article published earlier this year in the Sidney Morning Herald entitled <a href="http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-technology/senior-citizens-flocking-to-the-web-experts-20090421-acub.html">&#8220;Senior citizens &#8216;flocking to the Web&#8217;&#8221;</a> the author quotes &#8220;While just over one-fourth, or 26 percent, of 70-75 year olds went online in the United States in 2005, the proportion was 45 percent last year, according to data from the Pew Internet &amp; American Life Project, she said.&#8221;  WOW, that in nearly 50% of Americans who are age 70-75 are using the internet.  This tells me that if you are not integrating some form of electronic communication with your clients, you may be missing opportunities to connect.<br />

When planning your next event, think about approaching your clients with multiple forms of invitations.  We always advocate printed invitations.  However, a very inexpensive alternative can be to design a professional looking HTML invitation for your client appreciation event. <p>Truth #1 &#8211; A well planned client appreciation event can yield great results.  However, without the proper planning, communication, follow up and effort, your event may not be as successful as you want it to be.  Many people believe that if they plan a fun or educational event, their clients must want to attend.  Many make the mistake of just printing invitations and dropping them into the mailbox&#8230; or worse, they email the invitations and expect the inbox to burn up with attendees.<br />
